Sarah Schuster, MA AMFT

THERAPIST AT PACIFIC COAST THERAPY

From the first session, Sarah seeks to create a warm, non-judgmental and compassionate environment where clients feel free to experience vulnerability, explore what is challenging them, and discover the best path forward on their healing journey. Sarah believes that everyone is inherently worthy of happiness, well-being and peace of mind; working with clients’ existing strengths, she empowers them to find what they need to lead a more fulfilling and meaningful life. Using a variety of therapeutic modalities best suited to her individual clients’ personalities and needs, Sarah encourages growth and healing through a therapeutic relationship that is rooted in authenticity, humor and empathy.

Sarah is a registered AMFT #150405. She earned her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Santa Clara University, where she studied mindfulness, trauma-informed therapy, attachment theory, emotional-focused therapy, couples and family systems therapy, and existential therapy. Prior to becoming a therapist, Sarah was a high school and middle school English teacher. She considers herself a life-long learner and is passionate about expanding her understanding of the world and communities around her. An avid reader and traveler, Sarah is endlessly curious about the human condition, and how we can help each other to live more meaningful, peaceful and connected lives.
