Raquel approaches her role as therapist with the fundamental belief that each and every person is inherently whole, worthy, good enough, and deserving of love and connection. Often, lived experiences, grief, personal or generational traumas, and the systems in which we live cloud this truth, leaving people feeling stuck, numb, angry, or deeply disconnected. As a therapist, her goal is to serve as a mirror and guide in helping individuals return to their own deep inner knowing and aliveness. She aims to provide a sense of safety in seeing and understanding all parts of the individual and to empower them with the tools, confidence, and self-trust to navigate their unique growth, challenges, and personal healing. Raquel approaches her work with deep empathy, presence, creativity, curiosity, and radical acceptance.

Raquel is a registered associate No. 148594 supervised by Jessica Longoria, LMFT. Raquel has studied mindfulness, movement, breathwork, and somatic (body) healing practices for 15 years. She holds a Bachelor’s in Corporate Communications from the University of Texas, Austin, and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. Her diverse educational toolkit, theoretical knowledge, and experiential expertise allow her to facilitate holistic growth and healing for children, teens, adult individuals, couples, and families.

In addition to being a therapist, Raquel is a mother, wife, sister, daughter, lover of nature, stars, poetry, yoga, and creativity in all its forms, and a lifelong learner. She serves on the board of Yoga For All Movement, a nonprofit making mindfulness and movement practices more accessible to all. She is a proud advocate and ally for the LGBTQ+ community and is deeply passionate about mental health, maternal wellness, equity, inclusion, and accessibility for all.
